This artwork by Matthew Lindop achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2017. In the Modern/British Art Online auction, the work Piccadilly Circus no. 38 sold for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,689.23) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. This high result makes Piccadilly Circus no. 38 the most expensive artwork by Matthew Lindop that we have observed at auctions so far.
