Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Matthew Lindop could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern | British Art auction, the work Piccadilly Circus no. 159 changed hands for GBP 750.00 (€ 880.68) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Matthew Lindop have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Piccadilly Circus no. 38 in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,689.23).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Matthew Lindop konnte im November 2019 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern | British Art wechselte die Arbeit Piccadilly Circus no. 159 für GBP 750,00 (€ 880,68) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Matthew Lindop auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Piccadilly Circus no. 38 im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.689,23).
