In August 2019 Christies in London held the auction Art from Within: Staff Show, which included the work HSBC & One Canada Square by Matthew Lindop. The result of GBP 100.00 (€ 110.71) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 100.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matthew Lindop achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Piccadilly Circus no. 38 in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,689.23).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im August 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Art from Within: Staff Show durch, in der auch die Arbeit HSBC & One Canada Square von Matthew Lindop zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 100,00 (€ 110,71) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 100,00 – 200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matthew Lindop erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Piccadilly Circus no. 38 im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.689,23).
