A top price for Matt Johnson - as previously expected
The work Seaweed Sculpture by Matt Johnson was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2008. The price achieved of GBP 25,700.00 (€ 32,763.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Seaweed Sculpture is the most expensive artwork by Matt Johnson that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Seaweed Sculpture von Matt Johnson kam im April 2008 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.700,00 (€ 32.763,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Seaweed Sculpture das teuerste Kunstwerk von Matt Johnson, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
