Upper estimate price exceeded by 50 %.
The work Sans titre by Mathieu Mercier was auctioned at Christies in Paris in September last year. It achieved a price of EUR 11,970.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mathieu Mercier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Diamant, which sold at auction in June 2018 for EUR 25,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sans titre von Mathieu Mercier kam im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 11.970,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Mathieu Mercier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Diamant beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für EUR 25.000,00 versteigert wurde.
