Auction result misses estimated price range
In November last year a collector was able to acquire the work Sans titre by Mathieu Mercier for EUR 3,780.00. This price was achieved in the auction La couleur à l'oeuvre - Une collection contemporaine at Christies in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Mathieu Mercier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Diamant in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 25,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sans titre von Mathieu Mercier für EUR 3.780,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion La couleur à l'oeuvre - Une collection contemporaine bei Christies in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mathieu Mercier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Diamant im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.000,00.
