Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Christies in Paris held the auction La couleur à l'oeuvre - Une collection contemporaine, which included the work Sans titre by Mathieu Mercier. The price achieved of EUR 11,340.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mathieu Mercier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Diamant, which sold at auction in June 2018 for EUR 25,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion La couleur à l'oeuvre - Une collection contemporaine durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre von Mathieu Mercier zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 11.340,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mathieu Mercier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Diamant beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für EUR 25.000,00 versteigert wurde.
