The work Hanauma Bay Series/Catfish Zen Monk by Masami Teraoka was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. It achieved a price of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 136,568.12), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Masami Teraoka - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Cloisters Venus and Pope's Workout, which sold at auction in November 2009 for HKD 4,820,000.00 (€ 414,685.87).

Die Arbeit Hanauma Bay Series/Catfish Zen Monk von Masami Teraoka wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 136.568,12) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Masami Teraoka mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Cloisters Venus and Pope's Workout beobachtet, die im November 2009 für HKD 4.820.000,00 (€ 414.685,87) versteigert wurde.
