In February 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work His Majesty, the baby by Mary Gow. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,177.92) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary Gow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Harmony in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,155.42).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit His Majesty, the baby von Mary Gow zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.177,92) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mary Gow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Harmony im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.155,42).
