Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work The missing belt by Mary Gow for GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,895.98). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary Gow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Harmony in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,155.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The missing belt von Mary Gow für GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.895,98) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mary Gow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Harmony im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.155,42).
