Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vanishing Path by Mary DeNeale Morgan was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,020.00 (€ 962.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary DeNeale Morgan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Overlooking Fan Shell Beach (Pebble Beach) in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 19,975.00 (€ 21,414.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vanishing Path von Mary DeNeale Morgan kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.020,00 (€ 962,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mary DeNeale Morgan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Overlooking Fan Shell Beach (Pebble Beach) im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.975,00 (€ 21.414,02).
