Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Misty Sunday at Dusk (Point Lobos) by Mary DeNeale Morgan was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,160.00 (€ 11,147.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Mary DeNeale Morgan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2000 the work Overlooking Fan Shell Beach (Pebble Beach) was auctioned for USD 19,975.00 (€ 21,414.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Misty Sunday at Dusk (Point Lobos) von Mary DeNeale Morgan wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.160,00 (€ 11.147,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Mary DeNeale Morgan konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2000 die Arbeit Overlooking Fan Shell Beach (Pebble Beach) für USD 19.975,00 (€ 21.414,02) versteigert.
