Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hen, rooster and pheasants by Maruyama Okyo was sold in the Japanese and Korean Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2009. The »bidding war« ended at USD 47,500.00 (€ 35,819.32), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maruyama Okyo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cranes in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,105,000.00 (€ 777,129.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hen, rooster and pheasants von Maruyama Okyo wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 35.819,32) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maruyama Okyo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cranes im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.105.000,00 (€ 777.129,19).
