Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Martin Puryear achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in March 2021. In the New Now auction, the work without title sold for USD 20,160.00 (€ 17,167.67) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Puryear achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,805,000.00 (€ 1,323,313.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Martin Puryear erzielte im März 2021 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 20.160,00 (€ 17.167,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martin Puryear erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.805.000,00 (€ 1.323.313,78).
