Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Kenya Derby Horse Race, 2010 by Martin Parr was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 1,973.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Parr achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Last Resort, 1983-86 in April 2021 with an auction result of GBP 21,420.00 (€ 24,639.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Kenya Derby Horse Race, 2010 von Martin Parr kam im November 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 1.973,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martin Parr erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Last Resort, 1983-86 im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.420,00 (€ 24.639,23).
