Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Martin Mull could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Art in Focus auction, the work Untitled 4 changed hands for USD 3,438.00 (€ 2,674.24) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Mull achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hero'S Welcome in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 73,000.00 (€ 49,700.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Martin Mull konnte im September 2012 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Art in Focus wechselte die Arbeit Untitled 4 für USD 3.438,00 (€ 2.674,24) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martin Mull erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hero'S Welcome im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 73.000,00 (€ 49.700,44).
