This artwork by Martin Grelle achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work A Winter Evening 14 x 24 in. framed 24 3/4 x 34 3/4 in. sold for USD 6,144.00 (€ 5,632.56) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Grelle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The River's Gift in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 350,000.00 (€ 300,506.57).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Martin Grelle erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California and Western Art Online wurde die Arbeit A Winter Evening 14 x 24 in. framed 24 3/4 x 34 3/4 in. für USD 6.144,00 (€ 5.632,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martin Grelle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The River's Gift im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 350.000,00 (€ 300.506,57).
