In March last year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work Repairing the Wheel by Mark Tansey. The »bidding war« ended at USD 107,100.00 (€ 96,547.37), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Tansey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Source Of The Loue in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 7,453,600.00 (€ 6,386,975.15).

Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War to Present durch, in der auch die Arbeit Repairing the Wheel von Mark Tansey zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 107.100,00 (€ 96.547,37) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Tansey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Source Of The Loue im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.453.600,00 (€ 6.386.975,15).
