In July 2004 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work Chock Full O' Nuts by Mark Lancaster. The »bidding war« ended at USD 836.50 (€ 695.23), 39% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Lancaster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 7,539.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chock Full O' Nuts von Mark Lancaster zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 836,50 (€ 695,23) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Lancaster erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 7.539,35).
