Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sears by Mark Lancaster was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in March 2006. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 720.00 (€ 1,031.63), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Mark Lancaster have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 7,539.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sears von Mark Lancaster wurde im März 2006 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 720,00 (€ 1.031,63) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Lancaster auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 7.539,35).
