Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work One Olympia Candlestick And Two Matching Wall Sconces by Mark Brazier-Jones. The price achieved of GBP 1,134.00 (€ 1,250.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Mark Brazier-Jones have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Atlantis' Chair in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,404.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit One Olympia Candlestick And Two Matching Wall Sconces von Mark Brazier-Jones zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.134,00 (€ 1.250,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Brazier-Jones auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Atlantis' Chair im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.404,37).
