Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Mark Brazier-Jones could be acquired at Sothebys in Paris in March 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the NOW! auction, the work Console Lyre, 1994 changed hands for EUR 1,260.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mark Brazier-Jones have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Atlantis' Chair in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,404.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mark Brazier-Jones konnte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion NOW! wechselte die Arbeit Console Lyre, 1994 für EUR 1.260,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Brazier-Jones auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Atlantis' Chair im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.404,37).
