Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Mark Bradford for USD 127,000.00 (€ 116,428.31). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Bradford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Helter Skelter I in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 8,671,500.00 (€ 9,872,981.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mark Bradford für USD 127.000,00 (€ 116.428,31) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Bradford erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Helter Skelter I im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.671.500,00 (€ 9.872.981,37).
