Admittedly, works by Mario Moretti Foggia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Alle tombe dei califfi in November 2019 with an auction result of GBP 7,562.00 (€ 8,879.64).

Die Arbeit Chiesetta a Macugnaga von Mario Moretti Foggia wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX Secolo bei Il Ponte versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.800,00 und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mario Moretti Foggia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Alle tombe dei califfi im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.562,00 (€ 8.879,64).
