Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Les Fruits 1 by Mario Merz was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in October 2020. The price achieved of EUR 10,080.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Merz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Piccolo caimano in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,346,297.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Les Fruits 1 von Mario Merz kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 10.080,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mario Merz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Piccolo caimano im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 962.500,00 (€ 1.346.297,09).
