Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Mario Merz could be acquired at Christies in Paris in June this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Centuries of Beauty - A Refined Private Collection auction, the work Senza titolo changed hands for EUR 12,600.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Merz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Piccolo caimano in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,346,297.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mario Merz konnte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Centuries of Beauty - A Refined Private Collection wechselte die Arbeit Senza titolo für EUR 12.600,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mario Merz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Piccolo caimano im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 962.500,00 (€ 1.346.297,09).
