This artwork by Marina Cruz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in November 2018. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale auction, the work Whites and Blues Torn and Mended by Dragonflies sold for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 19,751.83) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marina Cruz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blushed and Blemished, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 630,000.00 (€ 74,794.52).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Marina Cruz erzielte im November 2018 bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Whites and Blues Torn and Mended by Dragonflies für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 19.751,83) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Marina Cruz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blushed and Blemished beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 630.000,00 (€ 74.794,52) versteigert wurde.
