Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Table Setting by Marina Cruz. The price achieved of HKD 44,625.00 (€ 4,777.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marina Cruz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blushed and Blemished in May last year with an auction result of HKD 630,000.00 (€ 74,794.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Table Setting von Marina Cruz zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 44.625,00 (€ 4.777,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marina Cruz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blushed and Blemished im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 630.000,00 (€ 74.794,52).
