In October last year China Guardian held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work White Lines on Red Horizontals(Painted in 2015) by Marina Cruz. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 264,000.00 (€ 33,830.48), 47% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marina Cruz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blushed and Blemished, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 630,000.00 (€ 74,794.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte China Guardian die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit White Lines on Red Horizontals(Painted in 2015) von Marina Cruz zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 264.000,00 (€ 33.830,48) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Marina Cruz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blushed and Blemished beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 630.000,00 (€ 74.794,52) versteigert wurde.
