The work Broken White Threads on Red by Marina Cruz was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in June 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 441,000.00 (€ 47,904.03), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Marina Cruz; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Blushed and Blemished sold at auction in May last year with the realized price of HKD 630,000.00 (€ 74,794.52).

Die Arbeit Broken White Threads on Red von Marina Cruz kam im Juni 2021 bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 441.000,00 (€ 47.904,03) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Marina Cruz; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Blushed and Blemished im Mai letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 630.000,00 (€ 74.794,52).
