Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November last year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Pink Snow by Marilyn Minter. The »bidding war« ended at USD 13,860.00 (€ 13,426.33), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marilyn Minter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wave in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 250,442.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pink Snow von Marilyn Minter zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 13.860,00 (€ 13.426,33) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marilyn Minter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wave im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 269.000,00 (€ 250.442,23).
