It achieved a price of USD 31,500.00 (€ 29,894.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Admittedly, works by Marilyn Minter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wave in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 250,442.23).

Die Arbeit One Half Man Ray von Marilyn Minter kam im April letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 31.500,00 (€ 29.894,66) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marilyn Minter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wave im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 269.000,00 (€ 250.442,23).
