Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work 206 Suns by Mariah Robertson for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,123.90). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mariah Robertson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 117, which sold at auction in September 2016 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,347.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 206 Suns von Mariah Robertson für USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.123,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mariah Robertson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 117 beobachtet, die im September 2016 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.347,57) versteigert wurde.
