This artwork by María Blanchard achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Madrid in October 2006. In the Spanish Sale - Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture from Old Master Pictures to Contemporary Art. auction, the work Mujer ante el espejo sold for EUR 325,600.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 180,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by María Blanchard; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Le Joueur De Luth sold at auction in June 2012 with the realized price of GBP 457,250.00 (€ 566,184.36).

Dieses Kunstwerk von María Blanchard erzielte im Oktober 2006 bei Christies in Madrid einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Spanish Sale - Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture from Old Master Pictures to Contemporary Art. wurde die Arbeit Mujer ante el espejo für EUR 325.600,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 180.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von María Blanchard; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Le Joueur De Luth im Juni 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 457.250,00 (€ 566.184,36).
