Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work "The Awakening" by Marguerite Thompson Zorach for SEK 24,000.00 (€ 2,791.17). This price was achieved in the auction Modern Autumn Sale, Stockholm at Bukowski in Stockholm and was even below the estimate range of SEK 40,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marguerite Thompson Zorach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Zorach Family in a Landscape and Floral Still Life: A Double-Sided Painting in May last year with an auction result of USD 214,200.00 (€ 199,608.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit "The Awakening" von Marguerite Thompson Zorach für SEK 24.000,00 (€ 2.791,17) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern Autumn Sale, Stockholm bei Bukowski in Stockholm erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 40.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marguerite Thompson Zorach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Zorach Family in a Landscape and Floral Still Life: A Double-Sided Painting im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 214.200,00 (€ 199.608,61).
