Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work East River by Marguerite Thompson Zorach was sold in the American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in November 2017. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,470.84), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marguerite Thompson Zorach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Zorach Family in a Landscape and Floral Still Life: A Double-Sided Painting in May last year with an auction result of USD 214,200.00 (€ 199,608.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit East River von Marguerite Thompson Zorach wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.470,84) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marguerite Thompson Zorach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Zorach Family in a Landscape and Floral Still Life: A Double-Sided Painting im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 214.200,00 (€ 199.608,61).
