In November 2019 Christies in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Woman with Bull by Marguerite Thompson Zorach. The result of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,630.09) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marguerite Thompson Zorach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Zorach Family in a Landscape and Floral Still Life: A Double-Sided Painting in May last year with an auction result of USD 214,200.00 (€ 199,608.61).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woman with Bull von Marguerite Thompson Zorach zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.630,09) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marguerite Thompson Zorach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Zorach Family in a Landscape and Floral Still Life: A Double-Sided Painting im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 214.200,00 (€ 199.608,61).
