Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Part I, which included the work Miss Missy by Margherita Manzelli. The price achieved of USD 80,500.00 (€ 65,082.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Margherita Manzelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Verifica del funzionamento - spazio vuoto, which sold at auction in October 2009 for GBP 151,250.00 (€ 168,922.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Miss Missy von Margherita Manzelli zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 80.500,00 (€ 65.082,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Margherita Manzelli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Verifica del funzionamento - spazio vuoto beobachtet, die im Oktober 2009 für GBP 151.250,00 (€ 168.922,31) versteigert wurde.
