Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Margherita Manzelli could be acquired at Phillips in an online auction in July 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Heatwave: Online Auction auction, the work #3 (23.08.2012 Sidi-Bouzid, Tunisia) changed hands for GBP 2,898.00 (€ 3,398.51) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Margherita Manzelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Verifica del funzionamento - spazio vuoto in October 2009 with an auction result of GBP 151,250.00 (€ 168,922.31).
