Auction result well in line with expectations
The work River at Sunrise by Margaret Thomas was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2002. The price achieved of GBP 705.00 (€ 1,090.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Margaret Thomas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Through the Looking Glass, which sold at auction in October 2005 for GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,893.20).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 705,00 (€ 1.090,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Margaret Thomas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Through the Looking Glass beobachtet, die im Oktober 2005 für GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.893,20) versteigert wurde.
