This artwork by Margaret Thomas achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2005. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Still Life With Hyacinths sold for GBP 1,140.00 (€ 1,683.00) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Margaret Thomas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Through the Looking Glass, which sold at auction in October 2005 for GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,893.20).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Margaret Thomas erzielte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Still Life With Hyacinths für GBP 1.140,00 (€ 1.683,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Margaret Thomas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Through the Looking Glass beobachtet, die im Oktober 2005 für GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.893,20) versteigert wurde.
