The work Australian Interior by Margaret Olley was sold in the Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 13,200.00 (€ 7,893.29), 32% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Margaret Olley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hawkesbury Wildflowers and Pears I, 1973 in November 2021 with an auction result of AUD 159,900.00 (€ 141,667.40).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 13.200,00 (€ 7.893,29) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Margaret Olley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hawkesbury Wildflowers and Pears I, 1973 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 159.900,00 (€ 141.667,40).
