In April this year Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Goodyear Zeppelin, United States Airship Akron, 1931 by Margaret Bourke-White. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,820.00 (€ 7,989.13), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Margaret Bourke-White achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flood Refugees, Louisville, Kentucky in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 400,000.00 (€ 357,110.97).

Im April diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Goodyear Zeppelin, United States Airship Akron, 1931 von Margaret Bourke-White zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.820,00 (€ 7.989,13) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Margaret Bourke-White erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flood Refugees, Louisville, Kentucky im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 400.000,00 (€ 357.110,97).
