Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Landscape With A Courtyard With Rural Buildings And Peasants by Marco Ricci was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 40,320.00 (€ 34,618.36). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marco Ricci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Opera Rehearsal in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 475,000.00 (€ 557,035.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Landscape With A Courtyard With Rural Buildings And Peasants von Marco Ricci im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 40.320,00 (€ 34.618,36) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marco Ricci erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Opera Rehearsal im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 475.000,00 (€ 557.035,99).
