Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Landscape with Figures and a Windmill by Marco Ricci was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,008.00 (€ 830.66). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marco Ricci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Opera Rehearsal in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 475,000.00 (€ 557,035.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Landscape with Figures and a Windmill von Marco Ricci im Januar 2021 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.008,00 (€ 830,66) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marco Ricci erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Opera Rehearsal im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 475.000,00 (€ 557.035,99).
