Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art Modern & Contemporary, which included the work Untitled (From The Series Frozen Ream) by Marco Maggi. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,164.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marco Maggi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2016 for USD 31,250.00 (€ 29,542.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art Modern & Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (From The Series Frozen Ream) von Marco Maggi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.164,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Marco Maggi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2016 für USD 31.250,00 (€ 29.542,45) versteigert wurde.
