Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Marco Breuer could be acquired at Phillips in New York in October 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation auction, the work Untitled (C-358) changed hands for USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,434.07) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marco Breuer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pan (C-366), 2003, which sold at auction in April 2016 for USD 15,625.00 (€ 13,657.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marco Breuer konnte im Oktober 2017 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (C-358) für USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.434,07) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Marco Breuer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pan (C-366), 2003 beobachtet, die im April 2016 für USD 15.625,00 (€ 13.657,02) versteigert wurde.
