Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Marco Breuer could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Unseen Eye: Photographs from the W.M. Hunt Collection auction, the work Untitled (Tomorrow Never Comes-Eye), 1997 changed hands for USD 875.00 (€ 751.27) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marco Breuer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pan (C-366), 2003 in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 15,625.00 (€ 13,657.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marco Breuer konnte im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Unseen Eye: Photographs from the W.M. Hunt Collection wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Tomorrow Never Comes-Eye), 1997 für USD 875,00 (€ 751,27) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marco Breuer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pan (C-366), 2003 im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.625,00 (€ 13.657,02).
