In October last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Children's Cancer & Blood Foundation Charity Auction, which included the work Untitled (C-594) by Marco Breuer. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,422.50 (€ 2,438.59), 62% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Marco Breuer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pan (C-366), 2003 in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 15,625.00 (€ 13,657.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 62 % übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Children's Cancer & Blood Foundation Charity Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (C-594) von Marco Breuer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.422,50 (€ 2.438,59) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marco Breuer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pan (C-366), 2003 im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.625,00 (€ 13.657,02).
