Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Marcellus Laroon II could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Victorian Paintings auction, the work A tavern interior changed hands for GBP 960.00 (€ 1,408.87) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcellus Laroon II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A bird snarer in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 34,850.00 (€ 39,995.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marcellus Laroon II konnte im September 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Victorian Paintings wechselte die Arbeit A tavern interior für GBP 960,00 (€ 1.408,87) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcellus Laroon II erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A bird snarer im Juli 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.850,00 (€ 39.995,59).
